Axe tutorial - Zbrush

I started by creating a 3d cube and using the move brush to pull out the points creating the general shape of the axe head.

I then started to use some brushes to smooth it out and use the masking tool to engrave the side.whilst using the move tool to move the
sharper edges out.

I made a cylinder in the middle of the axe head where the handle attaches. Then another cylinder for the handle. i then used the move brush again to make it a curved shape.

I used the mask brush to create the grip of the handle and then using the Dam standard brush i started adding wear and tear to the axe head and handle including the wrapped material look to the grip.
This is the first time ive used the program Zbrush
so i was a total rookie when starting this task. It was a great tutorial teaching me the basics and i actually enjoyed using it. It helped me alot when i came to create my prop task.
