Elf PS colouring

1. This is the original drawing we were given to paint in photoshop.

2. i first startedby blocking out the colours i wanted the character to be.
The colour scheme i used is called africa from the website kuler.adobe.com

3.I then added the dark tones to where most of the dark shadows
 would be.

4.Then the midtones.

5.Highlights were then added where the light would be directly hitting.

6.I blended the different tones in together to make it look softer.

7. Background gradient was added to show where the light is coming from and give the
overall picture some depth.

8.Again to add more depth i put some shadow behind the character.
